Filho do ex-governador do Rio de Janeiro Sérgio Cabral, o deputado federal Marco Antônio Cabral (PMDB) criticou duramente a determinação do juiz Marcelo Bretas de transferir seu pai da Cadeia Pública José Frederico Marques, no Rio de Janeiro, para um presídio federal em Mato Grosso do Sul.
“Uma decisão sem jurisprudência no nosso ordenamento jurídico, ilegal e absurda. Eu tenho a convicção de que os tribunais superiores, de forma independente e imparcial, vão revogar essa decisão”, o parlamentar disse ao jornal O Estado de S. Paulo, acrescentando que sua família ficará numa situação muito delicada caso a decisão não seja revogada.
“Fica péssima, não faço a menor ideia, eu não quero nem pensar nisso porque não aguentaremos. Nós vemos a imagem do nosso pai preso todo dia na TV. A cada hora é uma notícia nova, isso há um ano. Acredito que essa ilegalidade e arbitrariedade não vão acontecer. Eu imploro que os tribunais superiores façam Justiça.”
